The Glasshouse Hotel is a nice building in the centre of Sligo. It has its own underground car park, which was useful. There are lots of grades of rooms, depending on size, whether they face the river and whether you get a balcony. I found the reception staff friendly and check in fast. The room was clean and comfortable. The curtains in the room were on a pole, so let in a lot of light above from the street light directly outside the window and from the sun the next morning. Breakfast is a bit chaotic. Although the hot foods are set out to be self serve, they insist in serving you, which in my case they ignored what size of portion I wanted (just a few mushrooms!!). The continential breakfast choice is limited and for the most part unlabled. It was Ok, but could be far better with a small change. You have to order coffee/tea from servers, which means waiting if you want a refil. On the day I stopped they seem to have a few new staff who were being guided by managers. Instead of decaff coffee they brought me decaff tea.

Excellent location and wonderful staff. The room was stylish, quiet, and spotless. Breakfast was delicious with many options. Highly recommend.
Great location whilst staying here. We arrived early before the check in time and were told we'd get a call as soon as the rooms were ready. Unfortunately I was in alot of pain and so we sat down in the foyer to be somewhere comfortable. Within 20 minutes they had gotten us a room ready which meant I could be more comfortable and lie down. This did not go unnoticed by us both and we greatly appreciate it. We had great service at breakfast all week from friendly staff. We had a handful of issues with our key cards - these things happen and they didn't take it light heartedly. They resolved it each time and logged it for maintenance where it was checked the next day. They would be willing to resolve any problem if you give them the opportunity. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Sligo. The location can't be beaten.
